The Work Health and Safety Officer (WHSO) Training comes from the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011. This training is provided to assist to reduce the serious economic and social impact on individuals, businesses and the Australian community of work-related incidents.

DRA have been providing the this Safety Officer training for over 30 years. Originally businesses were required develop their own training course for approval. When the Legislation changed and the WHSO training was removed, we moved the training course we developed to the AIHS and registered it as a National accredited training course. We continued to deliver this course now called WHS Advisor – 10312NAT.

Then as the legislation changed again and the training was reintroduced, we assisted in transferring the various elements from the 10312NAT to WHS QLD to become the WHSO training you see today. The trainers have been delivering this course are experienced and qualified and approved to deliver this training on behalf of Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
