Lockout Tagout Training

This includes information to safely perform tasks such as maintenance, repair, installation and cleaning of Plant (equipment). This is including any work processes requiring the isolation of the energy sources including electricity, pressurised fluids or gases, stored energy systems, gravity and radiation (lasers). Further information is available in the SafeWork Australia Code of Practice for Plant.

A robust isolation system provides protection for everyone in the workplace. This course provides the participants with the knowledge and understanding of locks and tags used within the workplace, including;

• Importance of locking out plant and equipment
• Consequences of failing to lockout plant and equipment
• Basic principle of lockout procedures
• Correct location for lockouts
• Appropriate isolation and lockout devices
• Methods of lockout
• Importance of correct procedures
