Managing Director

David Randall is the Managing Director of DRA Safety Specialists and has been involved in the Work Health and Safety Industry since 1990 and continues to provide consulting, training and auditing services to clients throughout Australia and overseas. 

David has a Mechanical Engineering degree, Science degree and Diplomas of Management / Business / Work Health and Safety.  He has held the position of Regional Representative of the Gold Coast Branch of the Safety Institute of Australia since its inception in 1990 to the present day, and was President of the SIA (QLD & NT) from 2008- 2011 and has been appointed to the Retail, Wholesale, Hospitality, Recreation and other Services Industry Sector Standing Committee to represent the safety interests of this industry at the State level.  He is currently a Government Accredited Self Insurance auditor, an RABQSA Lead Auditor (OHS) and a Chartered Generalist OHS Professional with the SIA.

Steve is a Director of DRA Safety Specialists and has been involved with WHS since 1989, where he consults to a wide variety of clients in relation to training, auditing, investigation and assistance with their safety management systems (design, development and implementation).

Prior to this Steve was employed in the building materials manufacturing and supply industry (concrete, quarries and asphalt) where he has performed a variety of managerial roles including technical, operations systems and national risk manager where he gained solid experience and knowledge in Manufacturing, Transport, Laboratories, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, Information Technology, Human Resources and Training.

Mark comes from a strong background as a Health and Safety Professional built from over 25 years of practical experience working in WHS roles for a number of organisations including Safety Adviser for Toowoomba, Albert and Gold Coast City Councils; Safety Adviser for ENERGEX and Managing the Risk and Workplace Rehabilitation function for Toll IPEC in Queensland and Northern Territory.

His breadth of experiences across many industries in this time assists him to provide professional advice/mentoring and assistance. With experiences in completing compliance audits, conducting inspections, participating in Workplace Committees and developing/delivering practical training sessions for on-the-job training/learning. Mark has also assisted companies to conducting investigations of specific workplace incidents; completing risk assessments of specific plant or projects across a range organisations operations.

With a footing in the construction industry he has also developed and delivered a variety of related training courses drawing on experiences bedded across a number of trades and experiences in local governments, ENERGEX, as a Consultant and a Risk Manager in a major transport company.
