SUMMARY:Manual Handling and Ergonomics Training 21st August 2025
DESCRIPTION:Manual Handling and Ergonomics Training\nThis Manual Handling and Ergonomics Training is designed for workers and supervisors to recognise issues associated with body movements performing tasks in the workplace. Manual handling tasks are used frequently in all workplaces. WHS Legislation defines the importance of ensuring workers are part of a safe workplace with safe systems of work. \nThese tasks can be completed and not cause long term physical issues in workers however when any of the following occur there can be musculoskeletal disorders resulting in reduced capacity to work. \n\nLarge forces/impacts\nVibration\nRepetition\nSustained forces/positions\nAwkward positioning\nSudden movements\nTwisting\n\nThese tasks are called hazardous manual tasks are the most common source of workplace injuries. Businesses can manage these risks through using equipment to assist with the task and through adequate training. Injuries can occur from a large variety of different activities and can potentially result in long-term\, expensive\, and messy implications between employees and the business. \nParticipants will understand the instances when a task may introduce one of these factors that increase the risk and assist in redesigning the task to eliminate or reduce the risk. \nNOTE: Private courses can be customised and tailored by experienced and qualified Safety Consultants to suit your company needs (additional charges may apply). \nFor more information on this training please contact us or peruse the other training courses on offer.
