DESCRIPTION:Hazardous Chemical Awareness Training\nThis short course on Hazardous Chemical Awareness is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to work with chemicals effectively and safely in the workplace. \nParticipants will be provided information and instruction in how to identify the risks associated with chemicals in the workplace using the information from the Safety Data Sheet (SDS)\, Label and other approved sources. \nThough the legislation is discussed\, this is more of a practical course explaining the various aspects of the SDS and guidance material available. \nThis course includes \n\nbasic toxicology and how it is used to determine exposure limits\nthe Globally Harmonised System (GHS) for the classification of hazardous chemicals\nlegislative requirements relating to storage\, handling and use of hazardous chemicals.\nselection\, use\, fit\, maintenance and storage of personal protective equipment\nlimitations of personal protective equipment\n\nNOTE: Private courses can be customised and tailored by experienced and qualified Safety Consultants to suit your company needs (additional charges may apply). \nWe have more information relating to Hazardous Chemicals Management\, Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals and processes for Good Hazardous Chemicals Management for you to peruse if required. \nFor more information on this training please contact us or peruse the other training courses on offer.
